Another bad day

From the frying pan and into the fire: down $3,700 today, making this the third day in a row that my portfolio has dropped in value. I take some comfort in the fact that the stock market also sold off by about 1 percent. However, my aim is to exceed the market's performance, not equal it, especially since I've made it clear before that I expect the stock market to perform poorly over the coming months and years. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day.

Hmm.. Same here. Seems to be down constantly. Everything is in the red. Tuesday and Wednesday, I was getting more optimistic. But Thursday.. Ouch.

I started putting some slower movers into GTC on etrade and thus was able to sell Creative at tiny gain. I think I might buy it again if it drops a bit.

I should definitely have bought GARMIN when I watched it drop last few days. Would have had a nice gain within several days.

Geez.. who would have thought Taser would shoot like up like fireworks again. Man.. Unbelievable. No, didnt buy any.

I am thinking of selling my Merck just to get some money ready for taxes this year. It is up 5% only but need the money and I dont want to sell my other stocks at a loss. Yeah.. might be stupid. One should sell the losers but I really want to wait if I have to. AMD, AMAT, and MOT are ones that are just way down and I guess nothing else to do but wait.

My mood now is to get rid of as much as I can. But every time I sell something.. I immediately want to buy something new.

Yeah, Taser went for a wild ride this week. I normally would buy stocks that go down so far so fast, but Taser at $14 was still overvalued. Hopefully your stocks will do better next week.

I picked up some AMD today. I am still hoping Dell might do something with AMD this year.
